What if we taught radical acceptance to our kids as a core part of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)?
And, what if we practiced it more as adults?
Radical acceptance isn't about giving up or giving in. It is the practice of fully acknowledging the present moment—without trying to fight it, judge it, or control it.
In leadership and in life, it means learning to embrace reality as it is, including the discomforts and difficulties, while recognizing what is simply out of our control.
This isn't passive existence. It’s owning your power.
Through radical acceptance, we can stop a cycle of adding extra struggle on top of life's ups and downs. Only when we accept what is can we effectively choose what to do next.
